Looking for miles of colorful countryside, civil war trails, vista overlooks, rivers, parks, and small town charm? A place where family car trips and weekend getaways are closer than you think. Discover Luray, Virginia!

Located in the Shenandoah Valley, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and accented by the Shenandoah River’s flowing banks, Luray offers an impressive selection of recreational opportunities, major attractions, cultural history, and nature preserves.

Luray is home to some of Virginia’s most famed attractions, such as Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Each offers an unique experience, from sounds of the world’s only stalacpipe organ to the expansive Valley views on Skyline Drive.

Shenandoah National Park, host to Skyline Drive, stretches from north to south along a 105-mile crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some 75 vista overlooks and 500 miles of hiking trials, including the famous Appalachian Trail, provides enthusiasts a national park experience complete with visitor centers, exhibits, and ranger programs. The south fork of the Shenandoah River flows through the entire length of the county, making it a playground for canoeing, tubing, fishing, and swimming. Local outfitters provide canoe and kayak rentals way into the month of November.

Luray's Hawksbill Greenway, a designated VA Birding and Wildlife Trail and Bird Sanctuary, follows a creek on a 3-mile paved, walking and biking loop with convenient entry and footbridge locations off Luray’s Main Street. All within walking distance from the cottages.

The Manor House and Cottage Collection are managed by and connected to The Mimslyn Inn, a Historic Hotel of America, located in Luray Virginia.
